The ever-growing trucking industry was the catalyst that launched Concept Financial in 1999. The owners of Truck Writers Inc., a company that has specialized in insuring the trucking industry since 1983, wanted to offer equipment financing for its insurance customers. Concept Financial, a sister company to Truck Writers, was born, and commercial banker Chris Johnson was hired as the company's first president. Chris brought nearly a decade of banking experience — specifically in the transportation market — to the start-up company.

Over the years, Concept Financial has evolved from its origins as an equipment financier. Today, the company also factors receivables for various purposes and numerous clients within, and outside of, the trucking industry. Under the continuing leadership of Chris and his friendly staff, Concept Financial has grown from one client to over 50 strong.
